The Dixie Hornets basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Carolina Academy Trojans to 22 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Hornets now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they host GREEN Upstate for a A Region 1 game on Friday, January 3. Dixie will confront a Owls team coming off a 64-49 non-league loss to Walhalla (Walhalla, SC). The Owls record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Carolina Academy falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Palmetto (Williamston, SC) to confront the Mustangs in a AAA Region 2 game on Friday, January 10. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 5-3.
