In Monday's non-league contest, the host Providence Christian Academy LIONS basketball team scored a close 55-52 triumph over the Clinton Grace Christian Eagles.
The LIONS (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against University School of Nashville (Nashville, TN). The Tigers go into the Division II-A Middle District 3 contest with a 6-5 record.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Highland Hawks (Warrenton, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Clinton Grace Christian will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 17-4 record after their 53-37 non-league loss to John Marshall (Richmond, VA).
