Texas High School Basketball - Joshua sneaks past Mexia

The Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX) basketball edged the visiting Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX), 55-52 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Owls now possess a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Mansfield Summit for a 5A Region I District 8 bout on Friday, January 3. Joshua will play a Jaguars team coming off a 54-50 non-league loss to Guyer (Denton, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 14-6.

With the loss, Mexia falls to 12-10 on the campaign. The Black cats travel to Fairfield (Fairfield, TX) to play the Eagles in a 3A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Fairfield lost 82-63 in their recent non-league bout against Grapeland (Grapeland, TX)
