The Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Genoa Area (Genoa, OH). The Comets come into the non-league challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Genoa Area prevailed over Wauseon (Wauseon, OH), 66-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the Whitmer Panthers (Toledo, OH) in a Northern Lakes challenge, on Friday, January 3. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 67-52 non-league loss to St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI).
