The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X Panthers (Houston, TX) and the visiting Northside Christian Mustangs (St. Petersburg, FL), observed St. Pius X's basketball team overcome Northside Christian by a score of 73-65.

The Panthers (8-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Bible Baptist Christian (Statesboro, GA). The Wolves come into the non-league challenge with a 13-3 record. In their last challenge, Bible Baptist Christian dropped by Northeast (St. Petersburg, FL), 67-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Countryside Cougars (Clearwater, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 2. Northside Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 68-51 non-league loss to North Tampa Christian Academy (Wesley Chapel, FL).
