The Pirates (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Royal (Royal City, WA). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Royal trounced Connell (Connell, WA), 78-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Columbians encounter the St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Rainier will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 61-40 non-league win over Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR).
