The Westfield Blue Devils basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders to 41 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Monday.

The Blue Devils now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Elizabeth for a Union County game on Friday, January 3. Westfield will confront a Minutemen team coming off a 66-37 non-league win over St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD). The Minutemen record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Scotch Plains-Fanwood falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Raiders host Hillside (Hillside, NJ) to confront the Comets in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Comets go into the game with a record of 4-2. Hillside won 60-58 in their recent non-league game against Piscataway (Piscataway, NJ)
