The Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN) basketball edged the host Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC), 56-52 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Tornadoes now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Austin-East for a 2A District 2 bout on Friday, January 3.

With the loss, Ridge View falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Blazers travel to Josey (Augusta, GA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Josey won 50-23 in their recent non-league bout against South Aiken (Aiken, SC)
