In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Shelby Golden Lions basketball team scored a good 46-34 win over the Berea Bulldogs.
The Golden Lions (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers come into the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Kings Mountain was topped by Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC), 43-27, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Greer Yellow Jackets (Greer, SC) in a AAAA Region 2 contest, on Friday, January 3. Berea will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 42-39 non-league loss to Southside (Greenville, SC).
