The Buffalo Bison basketball team scored 46 points and limited the visiting Venus Bulldogs to 43 in the Bison non-league triumph on Monday.

The Bison now possess a 16-7 record. They play next when they host Groesbeck for a 3A Region III District 20 game on Friday, January 3. Buffalo will confront a Goats team coming off a 54-17 league loss to Teague (Teague, TX). The Goats record now stands at 8-13.

With the loss, Venus falls to 10-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Alvarado (Alvarado, TX) to confront the Indians in a 4A Region II District 12 game on Friday, January 3. The Indians go into the game with a record of 10-13. Alvarado lost 51-24 in their recent non-league game against East Bernard (East Bernard, TX)
