The Lakeview Academy Lions basketball team scored 46 points and limited the visiting Calhoun Yellow Jackets to 36 in the Lions non-league triumph on Monday.

The Lions now possess a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Athens Christian for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 4 game on Friday, January 3. Lakeview Academy will confront a Eagles team coming off a 46-43 non-league loss to Mount Paran Christian (Kennesaw, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 13-2.

With the loss, Calhoun falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Heritage (Ringgold, GA) to confront the Generals in a AAA Region 7 game on Saturday, January 4. The Generals go into the game with a record of 10-4. Heritage won 70-53 in their recent non-league game against North Sand Mountain (Higdon, AL)
