The La Mirada Matadores basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host South El Monte Eagles to 20 in the Matadores non-league triumph on Monday.

The Matadores now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Warren for a game on Friday, January 10.

With the loss, South El Monte falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Rosemead (Rosemead, CA) to confront the Panthers in a game on Wednesday, January 15. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 2-6.
