In Monday's non-league contest, the host Castro Valley Trojans basketball team scored a big 79-37 triumph over the Miramonte Matadors.
The Trojans (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against James Logan (Union City, CA). The Colts go into the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, James Logan was trounced by Monte Vista (Danville, CA), 51-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Matadors confront the Vallejo Redhawks (Vallejo, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 2. Miramonte will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Redhawks go into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 49-43 non-league win over Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA).
