In Monday's non-league outing, the host Corona Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 6-1 victory over the Hoover Tornados.
The Panthers (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Norco (Norco, CA). The Cougars go into the Big VIII outing with a 6-1 record. In their last outing, Norco Chino Hills (Chino Hills, CA), 1-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Tornados play the El Rancho Dons (Pico Rivera, CA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, January 3. Hoover will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Dons go into the outing with a 7-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA).
