The Cuero Gobblers basketball team (Cuero, TX), was nudged 49-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting La Grange Leopards (La Grange, TX)
The Leopards now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Caldwell for a 4A Region III District 22 battle on Tuesday, January 3. La Grange will battle a Hornets team coming off a 44-43 non-league win over Waskom (Waskom, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 10-13.
The Gobblers now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host La Vernia for a 4A Region IV District 28 test on Friday, January 6.
