The Palmetto Tigers (Palmetto, FL) basketball knocked off the host Monterey Wildcats (Monterey, TN), 89-75 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton, FL). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 1-11 record. In their last test, Lakewood Ranch went down by Southeast (Bradenton, FL), 85-39, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bledsoe County for a 2A District 5 test on Tuesday, January 3. Monterey will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 67-28 non-league loss to Chattanooga Prep (Chattanooga, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 5-4.
