Next, the Cadets clash with the Waco Lions (Waco, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. Connally will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 7-15 record after their 80-51 non-league loss to Permian (Odessa, TX).

The Bison (7-15) will now prepare for their test against Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX). The Goats come into the 3A Region III District 20 test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Groesbeck bounced Leon (Jewett, TX), 59-45, in a non-league test.
