Utah High School Basketball - Pine View overwhelms Summit Academy

December 31, 2024: Bluffdale, UT 84096

The Pine View Panthers basketball team scored 75 points and limited the host Summit Academy Bears to 44 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hurricane for a 4A Region 9 game on Saturday, January 4. Pine View will confront a Tigers team coming off a 59-57 non-league loss to Canyon View (Cedar City, UT). The Tigers record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Summit Academy drops to 1-13 on the year. The Bears host Morgan (Morgan, UT) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Friday, January 3. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 10-1. Morgan won 66-49 in their recent non-league match against Uintah (Vernal, UT)
