The Jarrell Cougars basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting China Spring Cougars to 41 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now possess a 19-5 record. They play next when they travel to Salado for a 4A Region III District 24 game on Friday, January 3. Jarrell will confront a Eagles team coming off a 58-34 non-league win over Lago Vista (Lago Vista, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 13-10.

With the loss, China Spring falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Connally (Waco, TX) to confront the Cadets in a 4A Region III District 23 game on Friday, January 3. The Cadets go into the game with a record of 5-15. Connally won 53-45 in their recent non-league game against Abilene (Abilene, TX)
