North Lamar Panthers (Paris, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Denison Yellow Jackets (Denison, TX), 59-34 in a non-league match.

With the victory, North Lamar advances its record to 11-9 on the year. The Panthers host Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Region II District 14 match on Friday, January 3. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 18-6. Sulphur Springs lost 48-37 in their recent non-league match against Rains (Emory, TX)

The Yellow Jackets now own a 16-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenville for a 5A Region II District 9 match on Friday, January 3. Denison will face a Lions squad coming off a 37-30 non-league loss to Sunset (Dallas, TX). The Lions record now stands at 5-18.
