The Webb Spartans basketball squad (Knoxville, TN), was nudged 42-39 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Marist War Eagles (Atlanta, GA)

With the victory, Marist advances its record to 13-2 on the year. The War Eagles travel to Lithonia (Lithonia, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a AAAA Region 5 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 9-4. Lithonia won 74-27 in their recent non-league battle against Towers (Decatur, GA)

The Spartans now own a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cookeville for a non-league battle on Friday, January 10.
