The Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Renville County West Jaguars to 69 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Mountain for a A Section 2 contest on Tuesday, December 5. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart will battle a Cougars team coming off a 89-61 league win over Cleveland (Cleveland, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.

The Jaguars (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (Tracy, MN). The Panthers enter the A Section 3 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton was defeated by Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN), 66-59, in a non-league contest.
