Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), 62-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marquette upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Crusaders travel to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 6. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 6-1. LaSalle-Peru won 64-37 in their recent non-league bout against Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL)

Next up, the Storm play the Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Bureau Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Clippers go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 63-30 non-league loss to Earlville (Earlville, IL).
