North Mahaska Warhawks (New Sharon, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Mahaska upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Warhawks travel to H-L-V (Victor, IA) to clash with the Warriors in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-2. H-L-V lost 57-29 in their recent league bout against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels (Reinbeck, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Grundy Center will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 53-20 non-league win over Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA).
