Canajoharie Cougars (Canajoharie, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Galway Golden Eagles (Galway, NY), 34-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Canajoharie upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Cougars host Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (St. Johnsville, NY) to play the Wolves in a Section 2 Western bout on Friday, December 8. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville lost 58-36 in their recent league bout against Duanesburg (Delanson, NY)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Hadley Luzerne Eagles (Lake Luzerne, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Galway will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
