Hanson Memorial Tigers (Franklin, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gueydan Bears (Gueydan, LA), 29-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hanson Memorial upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Tigers host Kaplan (Kaplan, LA) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Kaplan won 55-32 in their recent non-league bout against Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA)

Next up, the Bears play the Starks Panthers (Starks, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Gueydan will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 66-29 non-league loss to Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA).
