Illinois High School Basketball - ROWVA/Williamsfield ripped by Mercer County

The Mercer County Golden Eagles basketball team scored 66 points and held the host ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars to 44 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Monday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Abingdon/Avon for a Lincoln Trail contest on Wednesday, December 6. Mercer County will meet a Tornadoes team coming off a 60-50 league loss to Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 4-3.

The Cougars (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Annawan (Annawan, IL). The Braves enter the Lincoln Trail contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Annawan was routed by Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL), 60-49, in a league contest.
