Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH) and the host Wilmington Hurricane (Wilmington, OH), saw Waynesville's basketball squad knock off Wilmington by a count of 56-38.
With the victory, Waynesville upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Oakwood (Dayton, OH) to play the Lumberjacks in a Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Oakwood won 50-39 in their recent league challenge against Valley View (Germantown, OH)
Next up, the Hurricane play the Western Brown Broncos (Mt. Orab, OH) in a Southern Buckeye - American challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 62-58 league win over Goshen (Goshen, OH).
