Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pleasant Grove Eagles (Elk Grove, CA), 54-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monterey Trail upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Mustangs host St. Francis (Sacramento, CA) to play the Troubadours in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 6. The Troubadours go into the bout with a record of 2-2. St. Francis lost 61-32 in their recent non-league bout against Del Oro (Loomis, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Folsom Bulldogs (Folsom, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Pleasant Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 72-52 non-league win over Granite Bay (Granite Bay, CA).
