In Monday's non-league match, the host Mechanicsville Mustangs basketball team scored a tight 57-54 triumph over the Spotsylvania Knights.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 5. Mechanicsville will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.

With the defeat, Spotsylvania moves to 1-2 on the year. The Knights host Louisa County (Mineral, VA) to meet the Lions in a non-league match on Thursday, December 7. The Lions enter the match with a record of 2-1. Louisa County lost 48-46 in their recent non-league match against Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA)
