The Morenci Wildcats basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Valley Union Blue Devils to 43 in the Wildcats league triumph on Monday.
The Wildcats now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Willcox for a contest on Wednesday, December 6. Morenci will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 50-30 non-league win over Patagonia (Patagonia, AZ). The Cowboys record now stands at 3-1.
The Blue Devils (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
