The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) and the host E.E. Smith Golden Bulls (Fayetteville, NC), observed Southern Lee's basketball team edge E.E. Smith by a score of 49-42.
The Cavaliers (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders come into the 3A/4A Sandhills challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Richmond was tipped by Grace Christian (Sanford, NC), 71-64, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Golden Bulls encounter the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) in a 3A/4A All-American challenge, on Friday, December 6. E.E. Smith will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 72-47 non-league win over South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC).
