The Hopewell Vikings basketball squad (Aliquippa, PA), was crushed 79-53 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA)

With the victory, Mohawk Area advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Warriors travel to Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA) to meet the Lakers in a non-league battle on Friday, December 6. The Lakers enter the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Vikings now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ellwood City for a non-league battle on Monday, December 9. Hopewell will meet a Wolverine squad coming off a 54-40 non-league loss to Washington (Washington, PA). The Wolverine record now stands at 2-2.
