The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Chippewa Valley Big Reds (Clinton Township, MI) and the visiting Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI), observed Chippewa Valley's basketball team overcome Utica by a margin of 48-32.

The Big Reds (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Northville (Northville, MI). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Chieftains battle the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen (Grosse Pointe, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Utica will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
