In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host West Cabarrus Wolverines basketball team scored a close 35-33 triumph over the Olympic Trojans.

The Wolverines (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Marvin Ridge was tipped by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 78-59, in a non-league contest.
