Next, the Mustangs clash with the Winn Mavericks (Eagle Pass, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 5. Nixon will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Mavericks come into the test with a 3-7 record after their 74-72 non-league win over Uvalde (Uvalde, TX).

The Hawks (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX). The Wolves come into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Laredo LBJ was routed by Nixon (Laredo, TX), 59-46, in a non-league bout.
