    The Clayton Comets football squad scored 35 points and limited the host Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders to 32 in the Comets non-league triumph on Thursday.

    The Comets now hold a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grimsley for a non-league test on Thursday, December 11. Clayton will face a Whirlies team coming off a 13-7 non-league win over Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Whirlies record now stands at 14-0.
