In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting George C. Marshall Statesmen basketball team scored a good 32-23 triumph over the Westfield Bulldogs.
The Statesmen (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against West Springfield (Springfield, VA). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 5. Westfield will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 56-21 non-league win over McLean (McLean, VA).
