The Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX) basketball toppled the host Roosevelt Eagles (Lubbock, TX), 54-38 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Owls now possess a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lockney for a non-league test on Friday, December 5. Hale Center will clash with a Longhorns squad coming off a 49-26 non-league win over Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 1-3.
The Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Coahoma (Coahoma, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Coahoma overcame Bowie (Bowie, TX), 41-15, in a non-league test.
