California High School Basketball - Linden can't hold off Golden Valley

Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Linden Lions (Linden, CA), 53-51 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Golden Valley advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Escalon (Escalon, CA) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 3-1. Escalon won 60-55 in their recent non-league match against Liberty Ranch (Galt, CA)

The Lions now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ripon for a non-league match on Friday, December 5. Linden will face a Indians squad coming off a 59-40 non-league win over Patterson (Patterson, CA). The Indians record now stands at 2-1.
