The Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) basketball knocked off the host Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), 70-51 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Triad (Troy, IL). The Knights go into the Mississippi Valley test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Triad went down by Breese Central (Breese, IL), 50-42, in a non-league test.
The Miners now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Lincolnwood for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 13.
