The Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA), 40-24 in Monday's non-league test.
The Dragons (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Urbandale (Urbandale, IA). The J-Hawks go into the Central Iowa Metro - West test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Urbandale went down by Valley (Elgin, IA), 73-47, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Waterloo West for a Mississippi Valley test on Tuesday, December 6. Prairie will encounter a Wahawks squad coming off a 80-52 non-league win over Columbus (Waterloo, IA). The Wahawks record now stands at 1-1.
