Michigan High School Basketball - Mt. Morris can't hold off Atherton

The Atherton Wolverines basketball team scored 24 points and held the host Mt. Morris Panthers to 21 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Monday.
The Wolverines now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host International Academy for a Genesee Area - Red contest on Friday, December 9. Atherton will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 63-8 non-league loss to Genesee (Genesee, MI). The Phoenix record now stands at 0-2.
The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against New Lothrop (New Lothrop, MI). The Hornets enter the Mid-Michigan contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, New Lothrop nudged St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI), 51-46, in a non-league contest.
