Mississippi High School Basketball - Jackson Academy knocked off by Pillow Academy

The Pillow Academy Mustangs basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Jackson Academy Raiders to 30 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Starkville Academy for a MAIS 5A District 1 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Pillow Academy will battle a Volunteers team coming off a 39-22 league win over Magnolia Heights (Senatobia, MS). The Volunteers record now stands at 7-7.

The Raiders (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph Catholic (Madison, MS). The Bruins enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph Catholic was defeated by Jackson Prep (Jackson, MS), 43-33, in a non-league contest.
