The Mountain View Eagles (Kingsley, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA), 45-38 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA). The Hawkeyes go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Hanover Area was tipped by Riverside (Taylor, PA), 43-8, in a non-league test.
The Chiefs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Wallenpaupack Area for a non-league test on Thursday, December 8.
