Lake Region Thunder (Eagle Lake, FL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Excel Christian Academy Spartans (Lakeland, FL), 1-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lake Region upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Thunder travel to Winter Haven (Winter Haven, FL) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Winter Haven won 57-39 in their recent league bout against Plant City (Plant City, FL)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Florida College Academy Falcons (Temple Terrace, FL) in a bout, on Saturday, December 10. Excel Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 43-33 league loss to Excel Christian Academy (Lakeland, FL).
