In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Fleming Colonels basketball team scored a tight 80-74 victory over the Albemarle Patriots.
The Colonels now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Patrick Henry for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 7. Fleming will confront a Patriots team coming off a 65-52 non-league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-1.
The Patriots (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors come into the Jefferson battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Western Albemarle edged Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA), 67-38, in a non-league battle.
