The Des Moines East Scarlets basketball team (Des Moines, IA), was overwhelmed 64-21 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA)
The Little Cyclones now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ankeny for a non-league battle on Friday, December 8. Ames will confront a Hawks team coming off a 76-59 league win over Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 3-0.
The Scarlets (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA). The Roughriders come into the Freelance battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Roosevelt was overwhelmed by Dowling Catholic (West Des Moines, IA), 58-43, in a non-league battle.
