North Carolina High School Basketball - North Stanly tops Anson

December 5, 2023: Wadesboro, NC 28170

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), saw North Stanly's basketball squad knock off Anson by a tally of 93-75.

With the victory, North Stanly improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Comets host South Davidson (Denton, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. South Davidson won 42-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Anson will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Golden Rams come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 58-42 non-league loss to Great Falls (Great Falls, SC).
