Ballston Spa Scotties (Ballston Spa, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Troy Flying Horses (Troy, NY), 72-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Ballston Spa upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Scotties travel to New Hartford (New Hartford, NY) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 0-2. New Hartford lost 82-75 in their recent league bout against Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY)

Next up, the Flying Horses play the Shenendehowa Plainsmen (Clifton Park, NY) in a Section 2 Suburban - Blue bout, on Friday, December 8. Troy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Plainsmen go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 55-54 league loss to Schenectady (Schenectady, NY).
